Have you ever wondered what stories an old building would tell if it could talk? We can offer up the next best thing with a 90 minute walking tour of the downtown Kingston area, with a local guide. Our walking tours are unique in the sense that each guide has their own spin on what they take you to see, and are able to show you things you may not have known or noticed on your own.
Your tour begins a the Visitor Information Centre (209 Ontario St.), where you will meet your guide. This 90-minute tour will take you through the streets of downtown Kingston, where you may see some of our churches, historical military fortifications, shopping districts and more. You will learn about the city’s history which has been shaped by everything from wind, fire, trade, art, and war. Each tour is unique; our guides have their own Kingston history and knowledge to share. Make sure to ask your guide for more information on specific topics of interest while on tour! Take in your surroundings, ask plenty of questions, and get ready to learn about the captivating history of Canada’s first capitol city.
